Jazz Ensemble
Membership is by audition only and must permission of director.
Those selected must enroll in Mus. 170 or the appropriate level. Students will receive two (2) hours of credit which will count toward graduation.
Carefully read, fill out and submit the college’s application for scholarship assistance by deadline located on the website.
All wind instruments are to go to music audition page on website, perform the jazz etude with the audio track, upload audition to You Tube and submit the link to director’s email: ibrock@cacc.edu.
Rhythm section, piano, guitar, bass and drums, read the audition performance requirement carefully, upload your audition and submit link for evaluation to director as indicated above.
Audition material for WIND INSTRUMENTS will be the two selections found below with accompaniment, sight reading and the ascending chromatic scale starting on your lowest to your highest note.
Audition material for RHYTHM INSTRUMENTS will be the two selections found below with accompaniment and sight reading.
Audition material for PERCUSSION will be the Drum Patterns and sigh treading.
